TEHNOgrafi - Sosial media kian berkembang pesat, banyak sekali website dan aplikasi sosial media yang datang silih berganti. Mencoba peruntungan di tingginya tingkat pemakai smartphone.

Di samping manfaat positif, ternyata sosial media juga memberikan keuntungan bagi para oknum, dan juga mereka yang tidak bertanggung jawab.

Seperti berita-berita akhir ini yang memperlihatkan, bahwa banyak sekali orang-orang melakukan transaksi atau bisnis esek-esek di sosial media. Untuk itu, Anda sebagai orangtua perlu mewaspadai anak yang sering menggunakan sosial media.

Biasanya, mereka menggunakan bahasa Inggris yang berkembang pada tingkat yang lebih cepat dalam sejarah karena media sosial dan pesan instan.

Profesor John Sutherland dari University College London adalah ahli bahasa Inggris terkemuka di Inggris, dan telah melakukan studi di media sosial dan "teks berbicara," terhadap istilah-istilah yang ditemukan.

Dan biasanya membuat kebanyakan orangtua yang bingung, dengan bahasa yang digunakan oleh anak-anak mereka.

Menurut studi, yang ditugaskan oleh raksasa teknologi Samsung untuk menandai peluncuran Galaxy S6 , sekarang ada "kesenjangan generasi seismik" antara generasi tua dan muda ketika, bahasa modern informal digunakan.

Istilah modern seperti "fleek" dan "bae" yang paling sering ditemukan membuat bingung dengan orang tua, dengan hanya 10 persen dari 2.000 orangtua yang mampu mengidentifikasi makna sebenarnya dari "bae"--sebuah istilah kasih sayang.

86 persen dari orang tua yang mengambil bagian dalam survei mengatakan, anak-anak berbicara dengan bahasa yang sama sekali berbeda di situs media sosial seperti Twitter dan Facebook. 

Prof Sutherland mengatakan: "Keterbatasan karakter pada handset tua merupakan faktor kunci dalam kebangkitan akronim dalam pesan teks seperti TXT, GR8 dan M8."

A story with millions of choices in it.

Try to imagine this. When you're reading a story on the web or blog, you are given two choices. You can choose the next story based on your own choice. After selecting then you can continue reading the story. Shortly afterwards you will be presented back to the 2 other options. The next choice is up to you. Then you continue the story you are reading. After that you will be faced again with 2 choices. So onwards.

If you feel curious then you can re-read the story by changing your selection. Then you will see a different story with the story that you have read previously. The question now is why is this so? Because the storyline will be varying according to your choice. 

Based on the above, then you are faced with two choices. Are you interested in reading my story is? Or you are not interested at all. The choice is in your hands.
