Blog kamu topiknya tentang apa? Ketika memulai aktivitas blogging setahun yang lalu, saya telah membaca banyak nasehat tentang memilih niche blog. Blog yang baik seharusnya mempunyai topik khusus untuk dibahas. Dan saya yakin sepenuhnya bahwa nasehat itu baik dan benar, apalagi jika nantinya kita punya niat untuk sekedar menambah uang jajan dengan memonetisasi blog tersebut. Sebutlah program populer PPC (Pay Per Click) milik google, adsense, sebelum anda dapat diterima sebagai penayang adsense, para reviewer yang bertugas menyeleksi apakah blog anda dapat diberi hak tayang iklan google ini mengharuskan blog punya niche atau topik tertentu. Alasan mereka tentu saja terkait dengan kualitas pengunjung blog dalam hubungan dengan iklan yang ditayangkan. Para advertiser tentu tak mau rugi jika yang mengklik iklan mereka bukanlah orang yang akan membeli produk atau jasa mereka. Itu juga sebabnya mengapa performa various blog (blog gado-gado) kabarnya tak sebaik niche blog dalam hal pendapat adsense. Advertiser dapat memberikan harga yang berbeda pada setiap blog, apalagi mereka dapat memfilter pada blog-blog dengan topik tertentu saja iklan akan tayang (kontekstual).


Tapi saya nekat saja. Karena itulah blog ini saya beri URL novehasanah.blogspot.com. saya akan menulis blog dengan topik yang sangat bervariasi. Saya punya alasan sendiri untuk ini. Jadi saya tidak punya niche khusus. Lalu apa alasan saya untuk membuat blog saya ini sehingga menjadi various blog?

Sebagai pemula (baik dalam hal blogging maupun kepenulisan), saya sudah merasa bahwa saya akan terkendala jika saya menulis sebuah niche blog apalagi dengan lingkup topik bahasan yang sempit. Saya tidak akan punya banyak modal untuk membuat artikel yang bagus. Itulah alasan saya mengapa saya memilih membuat various blog ketimbang membuat sebuah niche blog. Sebagai penulis pemula, saya saat ini masih cukup sering menemui kendala berupa: writter’s block. Saya bisa kehabisan ide menulis jika berkutat pada sebuah topik sempit.

Lalu bagaimana saya bisa mendapatkan hak tayang hosted account untuk adsense. Simple saja, saya berusaha menyatukan semua ide tulisan dengan topik yang beragam mulai dari blogging, kesehatan, karier, pendidikan, hingga cerita (mungkin saya akan tambah kategori lainnya nanti), dengan dua buah kata “tips dan tutorial”. Lumayan, akhirnya ide-ide menulis saya dapat mengalir dan memuluskan langkah saya dalam menulis. Ke depannya, saya tentu berharap akan dapat menulis sebuah atau dua blog lainnya terkait kemampuan dan kapabilitas saya sebagai guru ipa (sains). Saya akan buat itu suatu hari nanti.

Soal mendapatkan hak tayang hosted account untuk adsense (beberapa blogger mengeluhkan sulit untuk mendapatkannya), saya memulai blog ini dengan disiplin membuat salah satu kategori sebagai kategori utama, yaitu kategori pendidikan. Lumayan juga, setelah 100-an tulisan barulah saya diterima sebagai penayang. Kini, tentu saya telah mulai lebih leluasa menulis topik yang saya sukai.

Tips:

Jika anda ingin punya hak tayang adsense, sebaiknya mulailah menulis dengan topik yang agak sempit, sesekali bolehlah keluar topik, tapi usahakan ada sedikit pengikat antar tulisan-tulisan di artikel itu sehingga reviewer dari google adsense dapat melihat topik atau tema utama blog anda.

A story with millions of choices in it.

Try to imagine this. When you're reading a story on the web or blog, you are given two choices. You can choose the next story based on your own choice. After selecting then you can continue reading the story. Shortly afterwards you will be presented back to the 2 other options. The next choice is up to you. Then you continue the story you are reading. After that you will be faced again with 2 choices. So onwards.

If you feel curious then you can re-read the story by changing your selection. Then you will see a different story with the story that you have read previously. The question now is why is this so? Because the storyline will be varying according to your choice. 

Based on the above, then you are faced with two choices. Are you interested in reading my story is? Or you are not interested at all. The choice is in your hands.
