JAKARTA - Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PU Pera) Basuki Hadimoeljono mengatakan, program sejuta rumah rakyat yang sedianya dimulai pada April ini memang sedikit tertunda karena persiapan teknis.

"Nanti dicanangkan 1 Mei, bertepatan dengan Hari Buruh," ujarnya saat paparan di hadapan Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla (JK) di Kantor Kementerian PU Pera kemarin (7/4).

Menurut Basuki, dari sejuta rumah tersebut, 603.516 unit rumah diantaranya akan diperuntukkan bagi masyarakat berpenghasilan rendah (MBR) dan 396.484 unit rumah lainnya untuk non MBR.

Rencananya, groundbreaking atau peletakan batu pertama akan dilakukan serentak di 17 provinsi. "Tapi untuk seremonialnya dipusatkan di Ungaran, Semarang," katanya.

Untuk tahap awal, lanjut Basuki, program Sejuta Rumah akan dimulai dengan pembangunan 331.693 unit yang terdiri dari rumah tapak (landed house), rumah susun hak milik (rusunami), dan rumah susun hak sewa (rusunawa). "Untuk rumah tapak, Jawa Barat dan Jawa Timur dapat jatah terbanyak," ucapnya.

Sebagai salah satu pusat industri dan berkumpulnya pekerja di Indonesia, Jabar akan menjadi tempat pembangunan 74.263 unit rumah tapak dan 3.745 unit rusunami. Adapun Jatim ada di urutan ke dua dengan 26.717 unit rumah tapak dan 1.200 unit rusunami.

Sedangkan di posisi ke tiga ada Sumatera Utara dengan 16.305 unit rumah tapak dan 1.832 unit rusunami. Lalu di posisi ke empat ada Jawa Tengah dengan 11.720 unit rumah tapak, 350 unit rusunami, dan 200 unit rusunawa.

Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla mengatakan, program sejuta rumah rakyat merupakan salah satu agenda prioritas pemerintahan Jokowi - JK yang sudah disuarakan sejak masa kampanye Pemilihan Presiden. Tujuannya, untuk memberi rumah tinggal bagi 13,6 juta rumah tangga yang belum memiliki rumah layak. "Ini memang program yang berat, tapi harus berhasil," ujarnya.
