Hybrid Gigs: Online/Offline
Show Offline Businesses Your Own Version of their
Website:
Visit a local business’ site that could use some work. Then, using your own WordPress
website, install a theme that looks much better than theirs. To take it a step further, grab
the business’ logo and paste it onto that sample website you just made.
Finally, walk up to the business owners and show them how much better their website
could actually look. Convince them how a better-designed site could help them increase
engagement and conversions.
The key here is to approach several businesses per day, so you may want to show them
screenshots as opposed to the actual sample website. So take beautiful screenshots of
each sample site you’ve created and travel to each intended place.
You could charge about $500 per lead, and realistically you should be able to land at least
2 or 3 leads per month.
Create a Video for Small Businesses, Rank it or Make it
Popular:
Walk to various places such as restaurants, hair salons and other businesses. Tell them
you would like to create a professional video for them and attract traffic (either via social
media or by ranking it on Google).
This works especially well with beauty salon and other places that largely depend on
visual beauty.
If you wish, offer to create the entire offer for free. If they like what they see, then you
would charge them a set amount each month as a maintenance fee, keeping the video
alive and/or creating more videos.
You can also charge them an upfront fee if you believe there’s not much you can do as
far as recurring maintenance.
Thrift Stores and Reselling:
Here’s one of the most useful things you can do, which I have tried in the past with great
success:
Do you have a smartphone with internet access? Download an app such as ShopSavvy
from the Google/Apple store (it’s free). These apps can scan product barcodes and tell
you how much they sell for in other stores and online (places like eBay, Amazon and
others).
So, go to a nearby thrift shop where you can find all kinds of items for dirt cheap. Scan
each item and see if they sell higher than they do at the thrift shop itself (90% of items
do). Your success rate will be pretty high, overall.
For example, you might find an item for $5 at the shop that in reality sells for $19 (or
even more) online. Buy it and then sell it online for a guaranteed profit.
Spend a minimal amount of cash at the post office when shipping the item, and you could
make yourself a part time (or full time) living once you have the funds to buy multiple
items at once!
Website Maintenance for Small Shops:
Many small shops, surprisingly, lack a simple website to compliment their business. And
the ones that actually have a website are usually very outdated and unattractive.
Use your tech skills to revamp their site, and you will be amazed with the amount of cash
there’s on the table.
Here’s an example: Walk to a small, mom-and-pop shop and introduce yourself
professionally.
Some of them might tell you that they already have a website, but this is where you will
ask, “How is it performing?”
This is where most of them will realize the sad truth: Their website could use some work.
So, whether you’re good at SEO or good with backlinking or writing new posts and
keeping it updated, I am sure that most of these sites could use some type of help.
Even better: Put up a bundle/package that includes various things, such as:
-Offer to increase their social media engagement. Facebook allows you to get “Likes” for
1 to 5 cents depending on the niche and the audience you target.
-Offer to keep their Facebook and/or Twitter page engaging by posting fun, relevant posts
and encouraging people to reply and comment.
-Offer to post at least 4 posts per month to keep the site interesting.
-Offer to provide SEO services every single month, which accounts for general site
maintenance.
Do you know how much you can charge them for all of these things combined? At least
$400 per month.
Feel free to charge $250 if you’re feeling generous, but again, it is NOT uncommon for
you to make outrageous amounts of money performing these tasks.
Now, imagine if you do this for five different clients. Neat, huh? I hope this idea alone
has motivated you and got your creative juices flowing.
Sell SEO Services to Online and Offline Businesses:
SEO is and always will be a big thing. Online businesses know it, but many don’t know
how to execute the art of SEO properly.
Offline businesses are even better because they often do not know these things, especially
the old fashioned types or the really small ones.
Whether you’re good at keyword research or own any type of backlinking software,
maybe it’s time to get out there and sell your services.
If dealing with online businesses, contact the webmaster or visit their Facebook page.
Don’t expect to get money by emailing merely a few of them.
Make it a habit to email at least 25 people on a daily basis (they can easily be found
through Google and social media channels). You have millions of potential clients out
there.
Manage an Autoresponder Service for Small
Businesses:
Visit a wide range of businesses’ websites, both local and national. Jot down the ones
who are not building a list of subscribers.
Give them a call and offer them the opportunity to build a list on their behalf. The goal is
to let you install a simple opt-in form on their already-popular website, and then talk to
the business about what type of autoresponder messages you should write.
You may need to explain to them the importance of keeping a list of subscribers and
sending them frequent, engaging and helpful emails. Once you do this, they will BE
SOLD.
Depending on the business in question, you could charge anywhere from $100 to $500
per month!
Create a Virtual Yard Sale:
Everyone knows the obvious fact that if you need money, you can get rid of stuff around
your house – and this is why I never mentioned it in this guide. It’s basic information.
But what if you could twist that old knowledge and instead contact your neighbors about
things they don’t need? After all, there’s only so much you can afford to throw away in
your own home, correct?
So, to ensure that you don’t run out of things right away, get a hold of everyone you
know nearby (this works especially well if you live in a large building). Introduce
yourself to the ones who don’t know you, and tell them that you are in the process of
selling many things though various means.
Let them know you have the knowledge to grab some eyeballs (via Craigslist and other
local places). Then, tell them that you would be taking about 10% to 20% of their item’s
price when it sells.
Many people will agree to this, you know why? Because almost nobody is willing to
bother trying to sell. We have busy lives and your job is to make it easier for them.
Take pictures of each item your neighbors agree to let you sell, gather their current
conditions and post a gigantic virtual yard sale on classified websites.
Craigslist Gigs:
Craigslist’s “gigs” section is one of the most overlooked ways to make money when you
desperately need it. This is because the opportunities are perhaps too easily found, and
anything that seems “too easy” is often taken for granted.
You can regularly find gigs related to:
Computing
Physical Labor
Computing/Tech
Writing
Talent (musicians, etc)
The great thing about gigs is that they are meant to be a quick and instant task.
Additionally, they typically don’t require any thorough background checks or
applications to fill out.
I suggest you bookmark the Gigs section and make it a part of your weekly routine to
check for new available gigs. Remember, new needs are posted every single day.
Sell a Unique Talent:
Can you play the piano or another instrument? Do you know a second language fluently?
Advertise yourself in typical, effective ways.
I keep going back to sites like Craigslist because that place is a goldmine when used
properly and to its full potential.
You can also go back to Fiverr and advertise such talent to the masses, especially when it
comes to translating anything into another language. Not everyone can do this, so take
advantage of your unique gift!
Find a Service, Increase its Value and Charge More:
The title says it all. This may sound a bit broad, but it works really well with just about
anything.
Find a service that’s already popular (classified websites are a good place to spy on
popular services).
Now, you want to provide more value than your competition – this could range from a
little bit more work to some kind of 30-day guarantee – whatever impresses people while
leaving your competitors behind.
If possible, charge 5% more than they are, while emphasizing the added benefits that no
one else offers! You’re not charging an arm and a leg, but you’re providing much more
value than your competitors. Go ahead, try it!
Perform a Tedious Job – Online and Offline:
Let’s face it, most jobs are boring and put off a lot of people… unless you’re desperate
for cash, that is. In this case, almost any job can seem like a Godsend depending on your
financial status and whatever the gig entails.
The most tedious tasks often include:
Creating Manual Links Online
Blog Commenting
Website Promotion
Posting Craigslist Ads
Article Editing
Creating Slideshows and/or Submitting to Slideshow-based Websites
Creating and Submitting to Document Sites Like Scribd, DocStoc and Calameo
Ebook Writing
Ebook Proofreading
Ebook or Article Formatting
Transcribing Video
Where to Get the Job:
Typically Fiverr is the best place to do this, as well as any other Fiverr Alternative. You
can check out this article for a more thorough list of Fiverr alternatives:
Top Fiverr Alternatives:
http://www.epicpassiveincome.com/list-of-popular-fiverr-clones/
I highly suggest that you “duplicate” your gigs on as many of these websites as possible.
This way you have more eyeballs on your services, and a greater chance of being
contacted. After all, you have nothing to lose!
Sell Your Expertise Locally (broad specialties):
This may seem like a scary thing to do, but have you ever walked to people’s houses and
nicely asked if there is anything they might need help with?
Sure, the thought of knocking on a stranger’s door may come off as creepy, and you may
get a weird look by some home owners.
However, there’s nothing that good communication skills can’t handle! Along with a
welcoming demeanor and being well-presented with your best clothes…
Simply introduce yourself and let them know you live in the neighborhood. Show a smile
and make them feel comfortable, while addressing your request without wasting much of
their time.
When the time is right, keep your asking price relatively low to avoid turning them off. If
they could use some help repairing something in the backyard, charge them $40 to $50
for a day’s work depending on what needs fixing.
It’s not much money, but if you find 3 to 5 neighbors, that could amount to some nice
pocket change…

My STARTUP :
A story with millions of choices in it.
Try to imagine this. When you're reading a story on the web or blog, you are given two choices. You can choose the next story based on your own choice. After selecting then you can continue reading the story. Shortly afterwards you will be presented back to the 2 other options. The next choice is up to you. Then you continue the story you are reading. After that you will be faced again with 2 choices. So onwards.
If you feel curious then you can re-read the story by changing your selection. Then you will see a different story with the story that you have read previously. The question now is why is this so? Because the storyline will be varying according to your choice.
Based on the above, then you are faced with two choices. Are you interested in reading my story is? Or you are not interested at all. The choice is in your hands.
If you are interested then spread widely disseminated this article to your family, friends, neighbors, and relatives. You can also distribute it on facebook, twitter, goggle +, or other social media that this article be viral in the world. By doing so it is a new entertainment industry has been created.
