Secara defenisi, Cloud Computing berarti sebuah platform IT yang saling berbagi, di gunakan dan dibayar sesuai dengan kapasitas yang digunakan atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah 'pay per use', infrastruktur yang highly available serta dapat diprediksi, dan merupakan suatu platform yang dapat diandalkan oleh perusahaan.

Ketika dihadapkan pada suatu kondisi untuk memilih penyedia layanan cloud computing, dua hal yang menjadi faktor terpenting adalah kehandalan (reliability) dan harga (pricing) yang ditawarkan oleh penyedia cloud.

IndonesianCloud meyakini bahwa hanya dengan mengadopsi layananan cloud yang reliable secara merata yang akan membuat pasar mulai mempercayai cloud untuk mendukung kebutuhan bisnis yang bersifat kritikal. Layanan cloud murah yang menerima banyak gangguan yang menyebabkan offline hanya semakin memperkuat kekhawatiran dari perusahaan terhadap adopsi cloud.

Menurut Neil, pihaknya telah berinvestasi dalam membangun suatu platform VMware Cloud yang didasarkan pada N+N, ekuivalen dengan datacenter berstandar Tier 4, untuk menjamin pasokan sumber daya yang handal.

"Pengamanan ekstra sangat penting diberlakukan mengingat masih belum stabilnya kondisi infrastruktur sumber daya listrik dan telekomunikasi di Indonesia. Di dalam model N+N ini, tidak ada ketergantungan dengan pemasok sumber daya lain yang menjamin kondisi tetap hidup atau uptime," ujarnya.

Di samping platform yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dengan produk pesaing, yang menjadi nilai tambah sebenarnya adalah dari sisi SDM dan proses yang berjalan di dalamnya, yaitu berupa pemeliharaan rutin, prosedur pengawasan dan keahlian tim yang mendukung platform cloud dan pelanggan.
