Merdeka.com - Francis Bakvis dan keluarganya dikagetkan oleh kedatangan seekor ular piton besar di halaman belakang rumahnya. Yang lebih mengagetkan lagi, ular piton tersebut sudah memakan kucing peliharaannya dan mati kekenyangan.

Tiger, nama kucing peliharaan yang sudah berusia 16 tahun itu, awalnya menghilang selama tiga hari. Tuan Bakvis dan keluarganya tak tahu di mana kucing mereka berada hingga akhirnya mereka mencium bau tak sedap dari halaman belakang.

Di sana Bakvis menemukan seekor ular piton besar yang sudah mati dan hampir membusuk. Tubuh ular piton itu menggelembung di bagian tengah sehingga Bakvis segera menyadari bahwa ular itu telah memakan kucingnya. Piton tersebut kemungkinan besar hidup di semak-semak dan memakan kucingnya. Namun ketika memakan Tiger, ular itu kesulitan mencernanya dan akhirnya mati.

"Aku mengeluarkan ular mati itu dari semak. Kulitnya sudah sedikit membusuk dan aku bisa melihat kucingku di dalamnya," ungkap Tuan Bakvis, seperti dilansir oleh Mirror.

Bakvis menyayangkan kucingnya yang disantap oleh ular piton itu. Menurutnya meski sudah tua kucingnya masih sehat dan pintar. Tiger juga tak pernah sakit. Namun tiba-tiba saja dia sudah menjadi santapan piton.

Tampaknya Tiger si kucing sedang tidur-tiduran di beranda belakang rumah keluarga Bakvis di Australia sebelum akhirnya si ular piton memakannya.
