Finding a Profitable Business Idea
Why is this difficult? It seems to make sense, but it’s actually pretty difficult to do. Why? There are three main reasons that I’ve been able to identify. Let me show you what they are.
First, is that the world wants us to jump in, so they tell us: Get on Twitter, get on Facebook, start doing something. Now I’m all about taking action, but you also want to think about what are you doing and where is going to lead you. So, for example, even if you’re extremely successful on Twitter and over the period of one or two months you get even a thousand followers, does that even mean success? Go back to your goal. Is your goal to earn 100 bucks… 1,000 bucks… whatever? If so, how does that thousands of Twitter followers help you.
So many of us follow big metrics, big numbers. We just go after numbers that make us feel good, but don’t actually do anything for our goals, and then we get de-motivated. So while the world wants us to jump in, what I’m saying is, yes, let’s go, but before we do that, let’s think about what we are doing and why—that’s number one.
The second reason why this process is difficult is that it forces you to be specific. What that means is, if I ask you right now what idea do you have? You know just take one of them, and I say: Okay, who is your customer? Most people say: Oh, small business owners. Well that’s not a target market, that’s everyone. That’s not specific enough.
If I say: How much are you going to charge? Why? What are your competitors charging? What exactly is the result that your service is going to create for people? Most people don’t have answers to these questions. Instead, they’ll say something like: You know, I’m really good at helping people organize their lives. Right—does that sound familiar? Or, maybe I’m a pretty good freelance writer. Okay, but that doesn’t matter to people. Nobody will pay for that, they want to pay for solutions to their problems. They don’t care about you.
Ramit’s #1 rule in marketing: Nobody gives a damn about you, it’s always about them.
And that’s what I am going to show you how to do. So this process is difficult because it forces you to be specific. Your ideas for you to get along if you are specific. Your target market is going to get a lot more specific, your marketing techniques are going to get a lot more specific. And when I ask: What’s your idea? Who are you going after? What are the deliverables you are going to give to people to make their lives better? You’re going to be able to tell me in a crystal clear way: I’m going after 40 to 45 year old mothers of two. I’m going after 32 to 35 year-old senior executive males who live in urban areas. Okay, that is a specific target market.
Who do you think I go after for I Will Teach You To Be Rich?
It’s not everybody, because if that worked for everybody, then nobody would read me. I actually tell people who want to focus on frugality: Leave! Leave my site. I’m not writing for you, in fact, I’ll make fun of you. There are better sites for you. There’s Dave Ramsey, there’s The Simple Dollar, there’s Get Rich Slowly—those sites are great if you’re focused on frugality, I’m not. I want people who are more focused on automation, entrepreneurship, psychology, investing. So who are you including, and who are you excluding? We are going to get real specific about that.
The third reason this process is difficult: You have to answer a tough question. Is your idea good? For me, I’m going to define good as: Can you get someone to pay you $100? In this program, that’s my goal for you. In Earn 1k which is the sort of father program, or mother program—for this entire series, my goal is to get my students their three paying-clients. Three paying-clients to pay you a pretty significant amount of money, for you, we are just going to focus on something really easy. Make your first $100 from your first profitable idea.
Is your idea good? This is really challenging for people, because a lot of people have an idea and they get married to the idea, but the idea is not good, at least according to the definition we are using, because nobody would ever pay for it. So, for example, they’d be like: Oh, you know, I really can help people overcome their spiritual issues. I’m just really good at removing those spiritual barriers. Well guess what, crackpot, no one is ever going to pay you for that— ever.
So these people often will spend 30 years, thinking about it, and showing up at Farmer’s Markets, but they never really get an offer. They have not actually talked to people and said: Is this something you care about? Like what do you care about? Instead of me in my head, just thinking about how important I am. It’s not about you, it’s about the people you’re going to try and help and serve. The people who are, in exchange, going to pay you. Think about that; it’s a profoundly different approach. You’re not trying to shove your ideas down someone’s throat and take as much money as possible, you’re actually trying to create a service that’s so valuable they would love paying you for.

My STARTUP :
A story with millions of choices in it.
Try to imagine this. When you're reading a story on the web or blog, you are given two choices. You can choose the next story based on your own choice. After selecting then you can continue reading the story. Shortly afterwards you will be presented back to the 2 other options. The next choice is up to you. Then you continue the story you are reading. After that you will be faced again with 2 choices. So onwards.
If you feel curious then you can re-read the story by changing your selection. Then you will see a different story with the story that you have read previously. The question now is why is this so? Because the storyline will be varying according to your choice.
Based on the above, then you are faced with two choices. Are you interested in reading my story is? Or you are not interested at all. The choice is in your hands.
If you are interested then spread widely disseminated this article to your family, friends, neighbors, and relatives. You can also distribute it on facebook, twitter, goggle +, or other social media that this article be viral in the world. By doing so it is a new entertainment industry has been created.
Its creator named Richard Nata.
