how to get more traffic to your blog
Hey what´s up Divers!
Are you ready to dive into some crazy brain-melting knowledge?
I want to show you how to get more traffic to your blog with a completely unsought-of strategy (or at least un-talked about) that should be mentioned more often because it’s so easy to implement that I would be extremely surprised if every major blogger out there is not using it.
I call it Keyword Pivoting…
And before I go on explaining how it works, let’s discuss:

What is keyword Pivoting?

Pivoting is a term used in the startup entrepreneurship world to define the act of shifting the course a business is taking because the original plan didn’t work as expected…what a surprise!
The reason it is specifically used for startups is because you are expected to already be on track if you are an established business, but if you are just getting started you are likely still figuring things out.
That’s as “pivoting for dummies” as I can put it.
And because you are a Diver, member of the Moneydiver community, I’m pretty sure you already suspect where I’m going with this…
When you create a blog post, much like a company, you usually have a plan for it.
You research and select the keywords you want to target and rank for, and you select the channels to promote your post to get the maximum social engagement and traffic from it.
I don´t ALWAYS create blog posts based on specific keywords I want to rank for, because a lot of the times you just feel like talking about a topic and that´s that, you don´t feel like going to Google Adwords or any other keyword research tool to find good keyword.
In those cases, I simply write and publish.
But I do usually want to target and rank for specific keywords and fight for them with some good SEO.
You should follow the best practices for writing an SEO friendly blog post to ensure that you do everything in your power to optimize that post for search engines.
Some of them include:
  • Keyword on the URL
  • Keyword on the title
  • Keyword on the description
  • Meta keywords
  • Optimized Images
  • Internal and External Links
  • Keyword density
  • Keyword diversity
Etc.
All of these factors are extremely important, along with the backlinks you receive; they will determine how well your post ranks.
Then you start promoting your post through the most effective methods you have available and begin to monitor the progress and improvements on your post´s rankings.
I use Google Webmasters ToolGoogle Analytics and Moz to monitor how my post is doing over time.
There´s a lot of tools available for this but these are the ones I use and recommend because after all, you are tracking how your post is doing in Google, and two of those tools are created by Google.
Here´s where the fun begins…

Getting 1,270 Extra Visits From 10 Minutes of Work

Days, weeks or months will go by. And if you are anything like me, you´ll be checking those stats on a daily basis. But be careful, this is a major productivity threat. Schedule one time in the day to check all stats related to your business; visits, rankings, conversion rates, sales, etc.
I’m going to use the Google Webmaster Tools for this example.
Here’s a screen shot of the most important feature of the Webmasters Tool to check your most popular keywords.
keyword pivoting
Notice that there are two tabs: Top Pages, which indicates your best ranking posts or pages and Top Queries which lists the top keywords or phrases you will be ranking for.
The top queries list an excellent source to keep adding additional keywords to your older posts to keep improving their rankings by identifying long tail keywords you might have missed when doing your initial research.
This is the tab that shows me what posts I should implement the keyword pivoting strategy.
I have noticed a lot of times that some of my posts don’t rank as high for the initial keyword I was targeting but instead they rank super high for other keywords that actually receive MORE SEARCHES.
And for whatever reason my posts ranks really high for it.
The first step of the strategy is identifying the keyword. It will look something like this:
getting more traffic
Notice that I get a lot of impressions, which means my site is showing up when people search for that term, but my conversion rate could be much better if I wasactually targeting that keyword (remember, this is about identifying keywords we weren’t actually targeting).
The second step to getting more traffic to your blog with this strategy is going back to that old post that turns to be ranking for that unexpected search term and change all the important factors of on-page optimization to target that new keyword.
get more traffic
  1. Change the title, url, meta description and meta keywords
  2. Link to more posts a little more related to that keyword
  3. Sparkle that new keyword in your post, perhaps in the subtitles too
  4. Delete your image, change its file name to match the new keyword and re up load it (don’t forget image title and Alt text)
  5. Re-share that post in social media with comments including the new term (this is typically months or years after you initially published it so people won’t care that you are sharing again).
Wait a couple of weeks and you will start seeing the results, notice on the image how my conversion rates improved from 4% to 45% from 127 clicks to 1,395 visits and from 5.0 average position on the search results to the first position.
This is how you get more traffic to your blog and save time in all with one little move.
I was able to generate an extra 1,270 extra visits to my blog month after month simply y not ignoring my old posts and keeping an eye out for what was happening with it.
I hope you see the value on it and implement it, send me an email with your results, I will love to hear from you and share your story.

My STARTUP :

A story with millions of choices in it.

Try to imagine this. When you're reading a story on the web or blog, you are given two choices. You can choose the next story based on your own choice. After selecting then you can continue reading the story. Shortly afterwards you will be presented back to the 2 other options. The next choice is up to you. Then you continue the story you are reading. After that you will be faced again with 2 choices. So onwards.

If you feel curious then you can re-read the story by changing your selection. Then you will see a different story with the story that you have read previously. The question now is why is this so? Because the storyline will be varying according to your choice.

Based on the above, then you are faced with two choices. Are you interested in reading my story is? Or you are not interested at all. The choice is in your hands.
If you are interested then spread widely disseminated this article to your family, friends, neighbors, and relatives. You can also distribute it on facebook, twitter, goggle +, or other social media that this article be viral in the world. By doing so it is a new entertainment industry has been created.

Its creator named Richard Nata.
