TRIBUNPONTIANAK.CO.ID - Ternyata nyamuk bisa menjadi berbahaya bagi sebagian orang. Seperti yang dialami oleh Sarah Wall, wanita asal Wilayah Harborne, Kota Birmingham, Inggris ini. Gara-gara nyamuk payudaranya jadi meledak.

Surat kabar the Sun melaporkan, perempuan 36 tahun ini sebelumnya telah memasang dua payudara buatan agar dapat mengembalikan sisi kewanitaannya setelah menderita kanker payudara. Namun, kehidupannya berubah setelah payudara dia digigit nyamuk saat berada di sebuah bar taman.

Gigitan itu langsung menimbulkan bengkak dan dalam sepekan buah dadanya berukuran empat kali lipat dari sebelumnya serta menimbulkan luka seperti bekas tembakan.

“Suatu ketika saya terbangun dengan kesakitan dan langsung menuju rumah sakit. Dokter mengatakan luka itu disebabkan gigitan,” kata Sarah.

Dia mengatakan nanah kemudian merembes keluar dari bagian bawah payudara dan membasahi kaosnya. Dia menyebut ada sebuah luka menganga dan keesokan harinya, cairan payudara palsunya itu mengering.

Seorang dokter mengatakan payudara palsunya itu pecah lantaran gigitan nyamuk menyebabkan infeksi di sekitar jaringan payudara dia. Alhasil, silikon dalam payudaranya memburuk dan akhirnya pecah.

Akibat kejadian ini Ia harus melakukan operasi pembesaran payudara kembali guna mengimbangi payudaranya yang sebelahnya. Akan tetapi kini terdapat bekas luka yang mengerikan di payudara Sarah.
