The Prophecy of The Presidents
The other night I realized the names of all 44 Presidents tells a story. Understanding this was a time consuming undertaking I figured I’d shelf it and get to it later. As with the majority of what I’ve worked on, it sits on the shelf (desktop). That is until I received an email from a reader within an hour mentioning this specific idea. In the time I’ve been doing whatever it is I do, I had never thought of pursuing this and I had never received an email referencing it. More specifically, in the 12,480 hours I’ve had this website the idea never came up but when it did it was a double tap within the same hour, or a .008% chance. I felt compelled to proceed.
This is about symbolism. The meaning of names speaks to a prophetic message but the corresponding etymologies to each President does not lay specific claim to their role or character. We are taking a big picture approach to something that extends far beyond the realms of human reason. Reason must be employed to fully appreciate what lies herein, but reason alone cannot explain the intricacies. Not surprisingly, the message has a primary emphasis on God’s sovereignty, His abounding grace and the work of the cross. I was surprised to see such clear mentions of the Antichrist by way of warning.
Earlier today 13 (number of rebellion) bald eagles were found dead in Maryland. In the Land of Mary which borders Virgin-ia. 13 original colonies at the birth, symbolized by this bird as we approach the death.
The United States is a Gentile brother of Israel, a type and shadow.
Jehoiakim of Judah ruled for 11 years and was on the throne when Babylon besieged Jerusalem. His name is the Hebrew equivalent of Joaquin, the hurricane from 130 days ago. The day the walls were breached on the Hebrew calendar is the exact day gay marriage passed the Supreme Court on 6/26/15.
The name means “Lifted by Yahweh” and you would say Israel like America were both lifted by Yahweh. It appears we are approaching that period in America’s history where this once great nation comes to a halt. The debt alone could not be paid off with all the wealth that presently exists on the earth. There are people whose entire life purpose is to destroy the US and in the nuclear age this is conceivable. Let us not overlook the entitled masses who look for any opportunity to loot and start a revolution.
America is in lock step with ancient Israel particularly in how prosperity led to turning from God while turning towards idolatry. The need for God has been replaced by toys and vanity. The church has largely become a gathering place for people to feel better about themselves; a conjoining of self-help and the power of positive thinking under the corporate model of attracting new members. An underlying subtext to this approach beyond greed is that the gospel needs charisma laced with ego stroking to get through to someone. The miraculous work of the Holy Spirit has been displaced by the marketing skills of egomaniacs who have been reading Napoleon Hill books and attending pastor’s conferences more akin to Tony Robbins than Jonathan Edwards.
This was Israel. The fundamental human disposition when God becomes a distant entity whose only purpose (if any) is to give you the thumbs up because you fulfilled a requirement of recitation at some point in your life. Offer a sacrifice in a corner and congratulate yourself, while your life is anything but a living sacrifice (Romans 12).

The United States was not founded by happen stance but by The Most High who used individuals in its formation. It was brought about by men and women, some of whom sought religious freedom and others who sought wealth. From its inception we saw wheat and tares grow up together. We had conquering looters ravaging the innocent as well as God fearing and honorable people. Such is the case with any people group (perhaps with the exception of ISIS), you have individuals who fear God and you have monsters. It is rare that you find a large grouping of people that is entirely homogenous. The critics of America’s founding claim they were all slave owners and greedy rapists. Others place fallen men on a pedestal no man should occupy. A point often lost in this mess is the sovereign God who has plans over world history that far exceed our limited scope of understanding.
He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. Daniel 2:21
Our Creator has orchestrated the raising up and lowering down of all kings and empires to ever exist. As we approach the setting sun of America’s elevated position it would be helpful to look at the names of the list of kings who have ruled this abundantly blessed nation. God had a plan when He birthed this country and it has successfully accomplished all He intended for it. That is, to be a vehicle to spread the gospel to the far reaches of the earth and assist in returning Israel to a nation state. Among other things, the United States and her people have experienced the widest range of human experiences known to man in its 239 short years. We went from the first automobile to the moon. Where communication used to take days or weeks by horseback we now push a button anywhere in the world. Warfare in the states began with a musket and now an entire country can be obliterated in under an hour with the push of a button.
The good, the bad and the ugly. While we live in a world full of sin, great evil will exist but also the light. The shining city on the hill has become but a camp fire a top a mountain of ruins, while Ishtar continues to light the harbor of the harlot. Anyone who is awake understands it is but a short matter of time before the light goes out. Though the national light goes dark, there are many individual lights which will shine all the brighter until the day dawns. We mustn’t lose hope as we sense the darkness encroaching but rather fully embrace this unique moment in history which will reverberate for all of eternity.
Watchman, how far gone is the night? Watchman, how far gone is the night?” The watchman says, “Morning comes but also night. Isaiah 21:11-12
Only God can ensure a prophetic message spanning generations. Since He knows the number of hairs each person has on their head I think it’s safe to say He knows what their name will be. If He cares about a sparrow that falls to the ground and the lilies of the field, it’s safe to say He cares about the name of one of the leaders He appoints to power in this world.
It is important to understand the subtleties. Jacob means supplanter and supplant can mean “overthrow, dispossess, usurp, secede, unseat, undermine etc.” Jacob can also refer to grafted in Gentiles as descendants.
Each name has specific meanings that are only straightforward when you look at them in context. Here is an example of what we will be doing with the Presidents.

Hebrew – English
Adam – Man
Seth – Appointed
Enosh – Mortal
Kenan – Sorrow;
Mahalalel – The Blessed God
Jared – Shall come down
Enoch – Teaching
Methuselah – His death shall bring
Lamech – The Despairing
Noah – Rest, or comfort.
Man was appointed mortal sorrow. The Blessed God shall come down, teaching and His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort.
The following will not be as straight forward. Though you could say all the names here have specific meanings, they require a little fleshing out. Whereas “appointed” or “teaching” are very specific when we are looking at two and three names per individual it becomes less precise. For this reason I put in bold a general summarized meaning for each name. We will see that some of the words can mean one of two things, both are correct etymologies of the words but only one of them may apply to the overall message.
I don’t advise you take my word for it and skip to the message. In doing so, you will miss quite a lot of the necessary reflections to draw out the deeply prophetic meanings.
We will cover each individual President’s name before tying it together. Please do not skip wading through the exhaustive list. The context and explanations particular the scriptural reference are essential to grasping the intricacy and scope.
1. George Washington – George – tiller of the soil, farmer. Washington – from the intelligent one’s farm. From the town of Wassa’s people. Wassa – The word ‘wassa’ itself means ‘hunting’ and this suggests logically that in both cases the meaning is “the hunting lodge” or similar. Hunt and farm the land. Farmers and hunters. One cultivates to create sustenance the other destroys life for sustenance. Hunters and farmers, both are acceptable and pleasing for life. In the symbolic sense, we see a distinction. That is, hunters and destroyers grow up alongside cultivators and growers. Hunt and farm the land.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Deuteronomy 28:8
2. John Adams – John – God is gracious, has shown favor. Adams – Hebrew adam “man,” literally “(the one formed from the) ground” (Hebrew adamah “ground”); compare Latin homo “man,” humanus “human,” humus “earth, ground, soil.” Adam is related to red, ground, ruddy. God is gracious and has shown favor to man whom He created out of the earth.
3. Thomas Jefferson – Thomas – masc. proper name, from Greek Thomas, of Aramaic origin and said to mean “a twin”. Jefferson – son of Geoffrey. Geoffrey district, traveler, or peaceful pledge. masc. personal name, attested in England by late 11c., from Old French Geuffroi, from Medieval Latin Gaufridus, from Old High German gewi “district” (German Gau; see gau) + fridu “peace”. The twin son district (nation).
4. James Madison – James – From Jacob, he grasps the heel, supplanter. Madison – surname attested from early 15c., probably in many cases a variant of Mathieson “son of Matthew,” Son of Matthew – Hebrew Mattathyah “gift of Jehovah,” from mattath “gift.” Jehovah’s (The Provider) gift to the descendants of Jacob. Israel was blessed through The United States. Divine providence founded the country that He would use to bless Israel.
5. James Monroe – Jacob – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Monroe “from the mouth of roe”. Marilyn Monroe dies in 1962 and won Golden Globe for “Some Like It Hot”. Roe v Wade decision. Roe was a river in Ireland. The mouth of Roe would overthrow (supplant) “Jane Roe” was the plaintiff in Roe v Wade, she later changed her position and became a staunch defender of the prolife position. Remarkable, “from the mouth of Roe” The United States would begin to sacrifice more babies than any country in history, far more than to Molech. From the mouth of one woman who would later realize her position which resulted in the legalization of child sacrifice was a result of deception. From the mouth of Roe, America usurped, rebelled against God’s gift.
6. John Quincy Adams – John, God is gracious has shown favor. Quincy – 5th, also ordinary American citizen, John Q Public, taken from John Quincy Adams. Adams – man from earth. God has shown favor, grace (5) to man from this land (ordinary American citizen). No other country in the history of mankind has afforded as much freedom and rights to so many. The advancements in technology and world aid is unprecedented. Despite America’s failings and rampant depravity God had His hand on this country. Since we supplanted, the decline has been accelerating. Keep in mind, an impoverished single woman can give birth to children with no form of income and receive income from the government. Individuals who grow up in poverty can achieve massive wealth a concept that never existed in previous civilizations. Despite the income disparities you must view this in relation to other civilizations and the bar of a world that is not perfect.
7. Andrew Jackson – Andrew – manly. Greek Andreas, from andreios “manly,” from aner (genitive andros) “man”. Jackson – Son of Jack. Jack – English the name always has been regarded as a familiar form of John, and some have argued that it is a native formation. In Middle English spelled Jakke, Jacke, etc., and pronounced as two syllables (“Jackie”). Those whom God has shown favor are noble, brave and courageous. The land of the brave. God has shown favor to the land of the brave.
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Joshua 1:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
8. Martin Van Buren – Martin – Of Mars (the Roman god of war); warlike. Famous Bearer: black civil-rights leader Martin Luther King. Van – Dutch “of” or “from”. Buren, small town on island north of Netherlands. The war comes from a small island. Think civil war, race war. A small match can set an entire forest on fire. Ferguson was a microcosm. The famous bearer who shares a name with this president is the most notable figure connected with race relations in America’s history. If you research the growing fringe groups Black Panthers and KKK, they both are awaiting the first shots and know it is only a matter of time.
Now think spiritually, the war that rages. A small seed of rebellion begins the turning away and ultimately ends in calamity. The war began small.
9. William Henry Harrison – William – Resolute protector; will, helmet. Henry – Rules his household. Harrison – Son of Harry. Harry – Home or House Ruler. One may rule or protect his household but the son of the House Ruler is resolute. The House Ruler protects the households.
10. John Tyler – John – God is gracious, has shown favor. Tyler – one who makes tiles. A tile is a flat thin slab of fired clay, rubber, linoleum, etc., usually square or rectangular and sometimes ornamental, used with others to cover a roof, floor, wall, etc. We all are tile makers, contribute small squares to the tapestry of God’s creation. By God’s gracious favor you have been called to contribute to God’s tapestry.
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ. Colossians 2:2
11. James K. Polk – James – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Knox – small hill. Polk – reduced form of Pollock. German (of Slavic origin): from an altered pet form of the Slavic personal name Boleslav, composed of the elements bole ‘great’, ‘large’ + slav ‘glory’. From the secession out of a small hill came great glory. Think of the US seceding from the British Empire and think about Bunker hill.
12. Zachary Taylor – In Hebrew the meaning of the name Zachary is: Remembered by God. Taylor – means “tailor” Latin taliare a cutter or one who cuts. Remembered by God, He who cuts off. God raises up and He cuts down. God sees all, He remembers a nations transgressions and brings judgment in His time. God remembers and cuts off.
For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. Romans 11:21-22
13. Millard Fillmore – Millard – from a Germanic personal name composed of the elements mil ‘good’, ‘gracious’ + hard ‘hardy’, ‘brave’, ‘strong’. Fillmore – Norman personal name, Filimor, composed of the Germanic elements filu ‘very’ + mari, meri ‘famous’, means well known. The gracious, brave and strong will be well known. The good America has done through its gracious and brave servants will not be forgotten. The gracious and brave will be exalted.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14

14. Franklin Pierce – Franklin – Middle English Frankeleyn, attested as a surname from late 12c., from Anglo-French fraunclein “freeholder, land-owner of free but not noble birth,” from Old French franc “free”. Pierce – “make a hole in; force one’s way through,” from Anglo-French perser, Old French percier “pierce, transfix, drive through”. The Land Owner was pierced so that man could be free and of noble birth.
The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. Psalm 24:1
But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

15. James Buchanan – James – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Buchanan – ‘house of the canon’. Canon – a general law, rule, principle, or criterion by which something is judged. The descendants of Jacob adhere to the canon. Remember, James is Jacob and Jacob is the supplanter and Jacob is Israel. The United States is not Israel, but the Gentiles who were blessed by being grafted into Jacob’s tree through the Messiah took this truth to the ends of the earth. God blessed The United States which in turn blessed Israel. Without the United States Israel would not exist today, God used this country to fulfill His promise. The canon or Bible is there for the descendants of Jacob and grafted in Gentiles. The descendants of Jacob have My word. Now consider the amount of Bibles produced and distributed because of the United States.
He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. Psalm 147:19
16. Abraham Lincoln – Abraham – father of a multitude. Also known as “father of faith”. Lincoln – from Latin Lindum Colonia from a Latinized form of British *lindo “pool, lake”. The descendants of the faith drink from living waters. We have references of living waters, the Spirit. Baptism in water into new birth and the healing pool of Bethesda. From the faith of Abraham you may drink of living water.
But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14
Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead. Colossians 2:12
Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you– not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience– through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 1 Peter 3:21
17. Andrew Johnson – Andrew – manly. Greek Andreas, from andreios “manly,” from aner (genitive andros) “man”. Johnson – son of John. John – God is gracious, has shown favor. God has shown favor and grace through the Son of Man. God’s grace and favor was shown through the Son of Man.
What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him? Psalm 8:4
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. Matthew 20:28
18. Ulysses S. Grant (born Hiram Ulysses Grant) – Ulysses – Wrathful; hater. Hiram Probably of Phoenician origin, though it could be from Hebrew meaning “exalted brother”. This was the name of a king of Tyre in the Old Testament. Grant – grand, tall, great. The exalted brother will grow tall and great and bring about wrath and be hated among the nations. The exalted brother grew great and became hated among the nations.
And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:12
19. Rutherford B. Hayes – Rutherford – named with an early British river name of unknown etymology + Old English ford ‘ford’. Birchard – Hardy birches, dweller of the hard birch. Birch trees – they are a typically rather short-lived pioneer species widespread in the Northern Hemisphere. Known as pioneer species because they inhabit land destroyed by fire. Birch trees produce 1 million seeds per year. Hayes – originated as a Gaelic polygenetic surname “O hAodha”, meaning descendant of Aodh (“fire”), or of Aed, an Irish mythological god. Though your pioneered and sprouted up in the land with much water, you turned to myhological gods and will be destroyed by their fire.
But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:7
20. James Garfield – James – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Garfield – From the triangular field. From an Old English surname and place name, meaning ‘field of spears’. The ones who seek to overthrow dwell in the triangular field and use weapons of war. Think of the symbols of triangles everywhere. The evil societies which rule this world in service to Horus, who manufacture warfare with America being the tip of the spear. The spear pierced Jesus’ side and triangles appear on our money and everywhere else connected with the Satanic. The usurpers can be found in a field of triangles and spears.
And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war. Isaiah 2:4
But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. John 19:34
21. Chester A. Arthur – Chester – Latin ‘castra’ meaning camp. Alan – Harmony, stone, or noble. Also fair, handsome. Arthur – From the Roman clan name Artorius, meaning noble, courageous. The camp of the noble and courageous, dwell in harmony.
He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp. Leviticus 13:46
When He rained meat upon them like the dust, even winged fowl like the sand of the seas, Then He let them fall in the midst of their camp, Round about their dwellings. So they ate and were well filled, and their desire He gave to them. Psalm 78: 27-29
22. Grover Cleveland – Grover – Grove dweller. Grove – a small wood, orchard, or group of trees. Cleveland – From the cliff land. Dwelling among the trees on a cliff. When you are on the cliff, you are but a short step from falling over into the abyss. A cliff is high above but only a stone’s throw away from its demise. Trees represent life, offspring, abundance and fertility. We are grafted into the Tree of Life but they also get cut off. We see a picture of judgment, falling over the cliff but in the context of a nation. Remember, there is individual judgment and national judgment. Grown as trees on a cliff.
You worship your idols with great passion beneath the oaks and under every green tree. You sacrifice your children down in the valleys, among the jagged rocks in the cliffs. Isaiah 57:5
23. Benjamin Harrison – Benjamin – In Hebrew the meaning of the name Benjamin is: Son of my right hand. Harrison – Son of Harry. Harry – Home or House Ruler. The Son of my right hand is the Ruler of the House.
But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God. Luke 22:69
For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God. Hebrews 3:4
24. Grover Cleveland (See Above)
25. William McKinley – William – Resolute protector; will. McKinley – son of Finley. Finley – from the Gaelic personal name Fionnlagh (Old Irish Findlaech), composed of the elements fionn ‘white’, ‘fair’ (see Finn) + laoch ‘warrior’, ‘hero’, which seems to have been reinforced by an Old Norse personal name composed of the elements finn ‘Finn’ + leikr ‘fight’, ‘battle’, ‘hero’. The Son is resolute, mighty in battle and clothed in white.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Revelation 19:14
Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle. Psalm 24:8

Theodore Roosevelt – Theodore – Derived from the Latin Theodorus, which is from the Greek Theodōros, a compounding of the elements theos (god) and dōron (a gift): hence, “God’s gift.” Roosevelt – “from rose field” or “of a rose field.” Rose, the universal symbol for love. Roses are red, the blood spilled to atone for sin. God’s gift is His love.
27. William Howard Taft – William – Resolute protector, will. Howard – noble watchman. Taft – topographic name or habitational name from a dialect variant of Old and Middle English toft ‘curtilage’, ‘site’, ‘homestead’. The noble watchman is resolute but the Lord protects the homestead.
Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. Psalm 127:1
“And I set watchmen over you, saying, and ‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We will not listen.’ Jeremiah 6:17
The oracle concerning Edom One keeps calling to me from Seir, “Watchman, how far gone is the night? Watchman, how far gone is the night?” The watchman says, “Morning comes but also night. If you would inquire, inquire; Come back again.” Isaiah 21:11-12
“I, the LORD, am its keeper; I water it every moment So that no one will damage it, I guard it night and day. Isaiah 27:3
28. Woodrow Wilson – Woodrow – Row of houses made of wood or hedge or a row of trees. Wilson – son of Will. Will, resolute protector…helmet. Only the Son protects the rows of houses across the land. The house of God has been made into a robbers den, the protection of the rows of houses will not last long. Understand where your help comes from, not by the strength of your sword or US military might. There is far more going on than the puny physical armies of the world. When we take helm, helmet or head covering with William we see: Your dwellings have a head covering of protection from the Son.
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. Psalm 44:6
29. Warren G. Harding (the original “Warren G”?) – Warren – “animal enclosure”. Gamaliel – recompense of God. Harding – ‘H(e)arding’, the patronymic form of ‘H(e)ard’, and meaning ‘the son of the hard one’! The wild animals will receive just recompense and in that day they will say the Son is firm. (Hard, solid, firm, and resistant to pressure, unwavering).
But man in his pomp will not endure; He is like the beasts that perish. Psalm 49:12
But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed. 2 Peter 2:12
And the humbling of King Nebuchadnezzar…
He was also driven away from mankind, and his heart was made like that of beasts, and his dwelling place was with the wild donkeys He was given grass to eat like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he recognized that the Most High God is ruler over the realm of mankind and that He sets over it whomever He wishes. Daniel 5:21
30. Calvin Coolidge – Calvin – Latin Calvinus (calvus means “bald” in Latin). Coolidge – an occupational name for a college servant or someone with some other association with a university college, for example a tenant farmer who farmed one of the many farms in England known as College Farm, most of which are or were owned by university colleges. Though you boast of your education and toil the field on universities you are becoming more ignorant. Foolish and arrogant, you think you are wise but you are stupid.
The Most High numbered the hairs on your head and has left you bear. You are bald, the pride of your head is naked as is that which lies beneath. All is seen and known by Him, stop with your vain pursuits of worldly knowledge which is foolishness. Your human education has left you naked. Your human wisdom has left you naked.
Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 1 Corinthians 3:18
The ignorant mock what they do not understand. The prideful think they know because they have been educated in the schools of men. I look at the group of mockers in the verse below as the academic elites of today, children. Insecure children who think they are wise.
And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 2 King 2:23
31. Herbert Hoover – Herbert – Illustrious warrior. Army. Bright. Hoover – a landowner or a prosperous small farmer. The Bright Illustrious Warrior is the Landowner.
For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. Matthew 20:1
The LORD will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. Isaiah 42:13

God is the only one who rules with iron and any country who believes they have power only rules under God’s sovereign decree. This is about symbolism. The meaning of names speaks to a prophetic message but the corresponding etymologies to each President does not lay specific claim to their role or character. We are taking a big picture approach to something that extends far beyond the realms of human reason. Reason must be employed to fully appreciate what lies herein, but reason alone cannot explain the intricacies. Not surprisingly, the message has a primary emphasis on God’s sovereignty, His abounding grace and the work of the cross. I was surprised to see such clear mentions of the Antichrist by way of warning.

Introduction
Among the numerous parallels between Israel and The United States, one of the most striking is the number of kings. You can argue that Israel and Judah had 44 if you count them as you do Presidents. Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th President, for this reason Obama is the 44th and not the 43rd. After the kingdom split into Israel and Judah, Israel’s kings from Jeroboam to Hoshea was 248 years. This puts us into a close time frame for where we are in America’s history. This is ancient Israel and Judah prior to the Babylonian captivity as we approach the prophetic hour of the Babylon of Revelation.The United States is a Gentile brother of Israel, a type and shadow.
Jehoiakim of Judah ruled for 11 years and was on the throne when Babylon besieged Jerusalem. His name is the Hebrew equivalent of Joaquin, the hurricane from 130 days ago. The day the walls were breached on the Hebrew calendar is the exact day gay marriage passed the Supreme Court on 6/26/15.
The name means “Lifted by Yahweh” and you would say Israel like America were both lifted by Yahweh. It appears we are approaching that period in America’s history where this once great nation comes to a halt. The debt alone could not be paid off with all the wealth that presently exists on the earth. There are people whose entire life purpose is to destroy the US and in the nuclear age this is conceivable. Let us not overlook the entitled masses who look for any opportunity to loot and start a revolution.
America is in lock step with ancient Israel particularly in how prosperity led to turning from God while turning towards idolatry. The need for God has been replaced by toys and vanity. The church has largely become a gathering place for people to feel better about themselves; a conjoining of self-help and the power of positive thinking under the corporate model of attracting new members. An underlying subtext to this approach beyond greed is that the gospel needs charisma laced with ego stroking to get through to someone. The miraculous work of the Holy Spirit has been displaced by the marketing skills of egomaniacs who have been reading Napoleon Hill books and attending pastor’s conferences more akin to Tony Robbins than Jonathan Edwards.
This was Israel. The fundamental human disposition when God becomes a distant entity whose only purpose (if any) is to give you the thumbs up because you fulfilled a requirement of recitation at some point in your life. Offer a sacrifice in a corner and congratulate yourself, while your life is anything but a living sacrifice (Romans 12).

The United States was not founded by happen stance but by The Most High who used individuals in its formation. It was brought about by men and women, some of whom sought religious freedom and others who sought wealth. From its inception we saw wheat and tares grow up together. We had conquering looters ravaging the innocent as well as God fearing and honorable people. Such is the case with any people group (perhaps with the exception of ISIS), you have individuals who fear God and you have monsters. Others place fallen men on a pedestal no man should occupy. A point often lost in this mess is the sovereign God who has plans over world history that far exceed our limited scope of understanding.

Our Creator has orchestrated the raising up and lowering down of all kings and empires to ever exist. As we approach the setting sun of America’s elevated position it would be helpful to look at the names of the list of kings who have ruled this abundantly blessed nation. God had a plan when He birthed this country and it has successfully accomplished all He intended for it. That is, to be a vehicle to spread the gospel to the far reaches of the earth and assist in returning Israel to a nation state. Among other things, the United States and her people have experienced the widest range of human experiences known to man in its 239 short years. We went from the first automobile to the moon. Where communication used to take days or weeks by horseback we now push a button anywhere in the world. Warfare in the states began with a musket and now an entire country can be obliterated in under an hour with the push of a button.
The good, the bad and the ugly. While we live in a world full of sin, great evil will exist but also the light. The shining city on the hill has become but a camp fire a top a mountain of ruins, while Ishtar continues to light the harbor of the harlot. Anyone who is awake understands it is but a short matter of time before the light goes out. Though the national light goes dark, there are many individual lights which will shine all the brighter until the day dawns. We mustn’t lose hope as we sense the darkness encroaching but rather fully embrace this unique moment in history which will reverberate for all of eternity.

Only God can ensure a prophetic message spanning generations. Since He knows the number of hairs each person has on their head I think it’s safe to say He knows what their name will be. If He cares about a sparrow that falls to the ground and the lilies of the field, it’s safe to say He cares about the name of one of the leaders He appoints to power in this world.
It is important to understand the subtleties. Jacob means supplanter and supplant can mean “overthrow, dispossess, usurp, secede, unseat, undermine etc.” Jacob can also refer to grafted in Gentiles as descendants.
Each name has specific meanings that are only straightforward when you look at them in context. Here is an example of what we will be doing with the Presidents.

Man was appointed mortal sorrow. The Blessed God shall come down, teaching and His death shall bring the despairing rest and comfort.
The following will not be as straight forward. Though you could say all the names here have specific meanings, they require a little fleshing out. Whereas “appointed” or “teaching” are very specific when we are looking at two and three names per individual it becomes less precise. For this reason I put in bold a general summarized meaning for each name. We will see that some of the words can mean one of two things, both are correct etymologies of the words but only one of them may apply to the overall message.
I don’t advise you take my word for it and skip to the message. In doing so, you will miss quite a lot of the necessary reflections to draw out the deeply prophetic meanings.
The Presidents
We will cover each individual President’s name before tying it together. Please do not skip wading through the exhaustive list. The context and explanations particular the scriptural reference are essential to grasping the intricacy and scope.
1. George Washington – George – tiller of the soil, farmer. Washington – from the intelligent one’s farm. From the town of Wassa’s people. Wassa – The word ‘wassa’ itself means ‘hunting’ and this suggests logically that in both cases the meaning is “the hunting lodge” or similar. Hunt and farm the land. Farmers and hunters. One cultivates to create sustenance the other destroys life for sustenance. Hunters and farmers, both are acceptable and pleasing for life. In the symbolic sense, we see a distinction. That is, hunters and destroyers grow up alongside cultivators and growers. Hunt and farm the land.
The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Deuteronomy 28:8
2. John Adams – John – God is gracious, has shown favor. Adams – Hebrew adam “man,” literally “(the one formed from the) ground” (Hebrew adamah “ground”); compare Latin homo “man,” humanus “human,” humus “earth, ground, soil.” Adam is related to red, ground, ruddy. God is gracious and has shown favor to man whom He created out of the earth.
3. Thomas Jefferson – Thomas – masc. proper name, from Greek Thomas, of Aramaic origin and said to mean “a twin”. Jefferson – son of Geoffrey. Geoffrey district, traveler, or peaceful pledge. masc. personal name, attested in England by late 11c., from Old French Geuffroi, from Medieval Latin Gaufridus, from Old High German gewi “district” (German Gau; see gau) + fridu “peace”. The twin son district (nation).
4. James Madison – James – From Jacob, he grasps the heel, supplanter. Madison – surname attested from early 15c., probably in many cases a variant of Mathieson “son of Matthew,” Son of Matthew – Hebrew Mattathyah “gift of Jehovah,” from mattath “gift.” Jehovah’s (The Provider) gift to the descendants of Jacob. Israel was blessed through The United States. Divine providence founded the country that He would use to bless Israel.
5. James Monroe – Jacob – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Monroe “from the mouth of roe”. Marilyn Monroe dies in 1962 and won Golden Globe for “Some Like It Hot”. Roe v Wade decision. Roe was a river in Ireland. The mouth of Roe would overthrow (supplant) “Jane Roe” was the plaintiff in Roe v Wade, she later changed her position and became a staunch defender of the prolife position. Remarkable, “from the mouth of Roe” The United States would begin to sacrifice more babies than any country in history, far more than to Molech. From the mouth of one woman who would later realize her position which resulted in the legalization of child sacrifice was a result of deception. From the mouth of Roe, America usurped, rebelled against God’s gift.
6. John Quincy Adams – John, God is gracious has shown favor. Quincy – 5th, also ordinary American citizen, John Q Public, taken from John Quincy Adams. Adams – man from earth. God has shown favor, grace (5) to man from this land (ordinary American citizen). No other country in the history of mankind has afforded as much freedom and rights to so many. The advancements in technology and world aid is unprecedented. Despite America’s failings and rampant depravity God had His hand on this country. Since we supplanted, the decline has been accelerating. Keep in mind, an impoverished single woman can give birth to children with no form of income and receive income from the government. Individuals who grow up in poverty can achieve massive wealth a concept that never existed in previous civilizations. Despite the income disparities you must view this in relation to other civilizations and the bar of a world that is not perfect.
7. Andrew Jackson – Andrew – manly. Greek Andreas, from andreios “manly,” from aner (genitive andros) “man”. Jackson – Son of Jack. Jack – English the name always has been regarded as a familiar form of John, and some have argued that it is a native formation. In Middle English spelled Jakke, Jacke, etc., and pronounced as two syllables (“Jackie”). Those whom God has shown favor are noble, brave and courageous. The land of the brave. God has shown favor to the land of the brave.
Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. Joshua 1:6

8. Martin Van Buren – Martin – Of Mars (the Roman god of war); warlike. Famous Bearer: black civil-rights leader Martin Luther King. Van – Dutch “of” or “from”. Buren, small town on island north of Netherlands. The war comes from a small island. Think civil war, race war. A small match can set an entire forest on fire. Ferguson was a microcosm. The famous bearer who shares a name with this president is the most notable figure connected with race relations in America’s history. If you research the growing fringe groups Black Panthers and KKK, they both are awaiting the first shots and know it is only a matter of time.
Now think spiritually, the war that rages. A small seed of rebellion begins the turning away and ultimately ends in calamity. The war began small.
9. William Henry Harrison – William – Resolute protector; will, helmet. Henry – Rules his household. Harrison – Son of Harry. Harry – Home or House Ruler. One may rule or protect his household but the son of the House Ruler is resolute. The House Ruler protects the households.
10. John Tyler – John – God is gracious, has shown favor. Tyler – one who makes tiles. A tile is a flat thin slab of fired clay, rubber, linoleum, etc., usually square or rectangular and sometimes ornamental, used with others to cover a roof, floor, wall, etc. We all are tile makers, contribute small squares to the tapestry of God’s creation. By God’s gracious favor you have been called to contribute to God’s tapestry.
That their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ. Colossians 2:2
11. James K. Polk – James – he grasps the heel, supplanter. Knox – small hill. Polk – reduced form of Pollock. German (of Slavic origin): from an altered pet form of the Slavic personal name Boleslav, composed of the elements bole ‘great’, ‘large’ + slav ‘glory’. From the secession out of a small hill came great glory. Think of the US seceding from the British Empire and think about Bunker hill.
12. Zachary Taylor – In Hebrew the meaning of the name Zachary is: Remembered by God. Taylor – means “tailor” Latin taliare a cutter or one who cuts. Remembered by God, He who cuts off. God raises up and He cuts down. God sees all, He remembers a nations transgressions and brings judgment in His time. God remembers and cuts off.

God’s grace and favor was shown through the Son of Man. The exalted brother grew great and has become hated among the nations. Though you pioneered and sprouted up in the land with much water, you turned to mythological gods and will be destroyed by fire. The usurpers can be found laced with triangles among a field of spears. The camp of the noble and courageous, dwell in harmony as a group of trees on a cliff. The Son of my right hand is the Ruler of the House. The Son is resolute, mighty in battle and clothed in white. God’s gift is His love.
The noble watchman is unwavering but the Lord protects the homestead. Your dwellings have a head covering of protection from the Son. The wild animals will receive just recompense and in that day they will say the Son is firm. Your human wisdom has left you naked. The Bright Illustrious Warrior is the Landowner. The Land Owner has granted freedom through His love to be born of noble birth, He is the Light of the world. Trust no man, especially the one who claims to rule the house there is but One Ruler. Be sober, for the day fast approaches when He who comes to rule with the rod of iron will appear.
God has shown favor even to the sons who descend from the ugly (offensive, disgusting) head (chief, principle). God revealed His grace through His Son, though nations sprout up and die and the murderer kills, He heals all wounds. The powerful leader (beast) will break many into pieces but His people will know victory. The famed ruler (son of perdition) is a wolf and he stands at the river crossing. Don’t resist, surrender and hitch your wagon to The Morningstar, The King of Kings. Be fully clothed in the armor of God as you toil in labor, out of the thicket comes your Bright Illustrious Warrior to deliver. A son (of perdition) will come to establish a peaceful pledge and offer protection. Be fully clothed in the armor, so the thorns and thick brush does not hinder your labor. The handsome man appears good and beautiful but is crooked and bends his words.
